Revisión de artroplastia de cadera infectada en un paciente con historia de fractura acetabular: Reporte de caso

Las fracturas de acetábulo son complejas, se relacionan con traumas de alta energía y además se asocian con malos resultados a pesar de un tratamiento adecuado. Se presenta el caso de un hombre joven con fractura de acetábulo secundaria a un politraumatismo severo ocasionado por la explosión de una granada. Posterior a la realización de la osteosíntesis abierta del acetábulo, el paciente presenta una artrosis secundaria que se trata mediante una artroplastia de cadera con neoacetábulo, pensando en una revisión. Sin embargo, a causa de una infección oculta, se hizo necesario realizar una revisión en varios tiempos con la colocación de espaciadores con antibiótico, retiro del material de osteosíntesis y colocación de aloinjertos en el acetábulo. Posterior a tener certeza del control de la infección, en una revisión final se restituyó el acetábulo verdadero y el centro de rotación, mejorando la postura del paciente y la marcha.
