Historia de la medicinaAbstract
This article describes the case of a farmer in the late 19th century who suffered a dislocation of his right shoulder after falling from a horse near the newly founded city of Pereira. The attending physician, Jaime Mejía, who met the patient two months after the injury, recorded the technique used to reduce the dislocation, employing chloroform anesthesia.
