Knee trauma often leads to anterior cruciate ligament injury, and a clinical expression of this lesion is anterolateral instability. Several maneuvers and techniques have been described to evaluate this injury, but currently the most widely used and accepted sign to evaluate this type of instability is the test of eccentric subluxation of the tibia or Pivot Shift. A variant of this semiological maneuver has been developed in the Hospital de San José, which is easy to perform by the examiner and causes very few problems for the patient.
