Manejo no quirúrgico del Hallux Valgus

El manejo ortopédico del Hallux Valgus hace parte importante del tratamiento de esta patología, es la alternativa inicial de manejo como el cambio de calzado, uso de ortesis, terapia física y medidas locales en los pies. El tratamiento ortopédico debe proveer al paciente de un alivio en su dolor y evitar el aumento de la deformidad. Este manejo conservador comienza con una adecuada explicación al paciente de su patología, así como los cambios que debe realizar en su calzado ya sea deportivo o de trabajo. Así como el uso de la ortesis apropiada y los ejercicios que recomendados en la terapia física. Cuando el dolor no se controla con el manejo ortopédico y la deformidad se incrementa hay que pensar en tomar la opción del tratamiento quirúrgico.
