The obturator nerve (L2-L4) is responsible for the motor innervation of the muscles which principal function is the adducing of the thigh, and in minor degree its external rotation, and it gathers the sensibility of the internal face of the thigh. Its isolated injury is infrequent, and is in the habit of being compressive or traumatic. We present a case of a 37-year-old male with clinic of neuropathy of the obturator nerve secondary to a synovial cyst of the joint of the hip, which for the infrequent of the case suffered a delay so much the diagnosis as the definitive treatment.
