Condromatosis sinovial severa en la muñeca (túnel del carpo): Reporte de caso

Severe synovial chondromatosis is a term related to the chondroid metaplastic transformation of a synovial epitellium. It’s been described as an infrequent benign alteration of unknown etiology, characterized by the presence of loose bodies around any kind of synovia. It usually compromises major joints such as knee, hip, elbow wrist and ankle, with a marked preference for the knee that reach two thirds of the reported cases. We present a severe carpal tunnel synovial chondromatosis case report as well as its diagnostic, therapeutic approach and treatment rationale.
