Abstract

The reflections that are made in this paper respond to the increase of this disease in the community. The considerations about it from its initial diagnosis are minimal, and it seems that as time passes, increases its prevalence in the community. Sequels that diabetic foot produces are devastating for the patient from the standpoint of medical complications, quality of life, social behavior, work behavior and great financial costs when these complications occur.
Therefore, according to previous studies, we get to know the damage caused by diabetes in the foot, and the development of the pathophysiology of them. This review is presented with the aim of reaching a presence each increasing in university bodies and NGOs in order to promote the establishment of public health programs for the management of this condition.
