Abstract

This is the history of a patient at the Instituto de Ortopedia Infantil Roosevelt, Bogotá, Colombia, with fibular hemimelia associated with a subtalar tarsal coalition and an externally displaced calcaneus. It is a little known deformity. The deformity was treated surgically, obtaining a plantigrade, well-aligned foot, suitable for weight bearing and future lengthening. This case report seeks to call attention to the foot deformities very frequently associated with fibular hemimelia.
