Abstract

The Colombian Orthopedic Society (SCCOT) counts on different mass media to spread the knowledge of our specialty, which in addition serve like a display cabinet to show orthopedic academic and research advances, as well as to inform gremial and social news of our society. We edited a journal, the Revista Colombiana de Ortopedia y Traumatología, and a letter, the Carta Ortopédica. In 1990 the library and the information and documentation center (BICIS) were created. In 2010, several books were published with the auspice of the society on hip and knee, arthroscopy, ankle and foot, hand, shoulder and elbow, pediatric orthopedics, tumors, external fixation and infections.
