Fractura del gancho del ganchoso: Reporte de casos

Hamate hook fractures are infrequent injuries among hand fractures, so consequently its management remains controversial as a result of its very low incidence. Along the diagnosis of the injury a great amount of medical suspicion should have to be involved, and furthermore, special diagnostic roentgenogram films should have to be obtained from the patient. Herein we reported two patients who presented this kind of injury, treated with open reduction and internal fixation, as well as a review about biomechanical implications of Hamate hook resection as an alternative surgical option for this injury.
